At Ann Road Animal Hospital,we know how important choosing the right veterinarian for surgery is. That is why we are happy to provide our clients with the best veterinary care. Surgical procedures are performed at Ann Road Animal Hospital Monday through Saturday. An appointment should be made for all surgeries. We ask that all patients check-in between 6-9 am on the morning of the scheduled surgery, and please allow for at least 15 minutes to meet with a veterinarian.

The owner, or authorized agent, dropping off an animal for surgery must be at least 18 years old. It is important that no food be given after 10:00 pm the night before; and no food or water should be given the day of surgery. Vaccines are required to be current for all patients having surgery and all vaccination history must be provided prior to meeting with the veterinarian.
We also advise pre-operative lab work to test kidney and liver functions (the main organs that metabolize anesthesia), complete blood counts, and blood glucose levels. Our patients are closely monitored throughout surgery using EKG/pulse oximeters. Fluids and pain medications are administered through an IV catheter. Pain management will be used for all procedures that cause some degree of pain or discomfort.

If an estimate is needed, we are happy to schedule you with an appointment to be seen by one of our veterinarians. Contact us today 702-579-9111.
